Earth Fault Detection System for DC Circuits
ASD-1 device provides insulation faults detection system dedicated to be used in DC auxilliary circuits. The device constantly monitors the insulation system of ungrounded network. Each feeder is monitored by independent sensor. Two threshold valueas can be set: the warning threshold value and alarm threshold value. Warning and alarms are quickly and preciselly provided to the staff. ASD-1 provides also the event recorder function. Data of event recorder can be transfered to SCADA system by fiber optic communication port, RS-485 or by Ethernet network. Cooperation with SCADA system is possible by following communication protocols: ZEG or IEC 60870-5-103, and optional: MODBUS, DNP3 or IEC61850.

Product description

ASD-1 is freely programmable device which monitors the condition of insulation system. Active monitoring of insulation system is carried out by the generator, which adds extra resistance to „+” and „-” poles alternately. Insulation fault, can be seend as extra earth current flow. The extra earth current is detected by current sensor which is part of ASD-1 system. The device shows the condition of insulation system by set of RGB LED diodes and 7” LCD screen. Visualisation of insulation failure signal can be time-delayed. All signals can be grouped to one ALARM or Failure signal. 7” LCD touchscreen allows to control switchgear breakers, settings change, preview of inputs and outputs statuses, language change, preview of time, event recorder or measured values.
